Throwback: RFK Jr. and Fetterman call for a Green New Deal
16 year old clips show different men than we know today.
It was not long ago that Secretary of State Robert F. Kennedy Jr. used to be a left-wing radio show host, and as far as I’m concerned, he should still be there
In January 2025 I tried to do some muckraking and listen to RFK Jr’s old Ring of Fire videos, see if Secretary Brainworms had ever just snapped and called President Donald Trump a bitch. I still think, for sure, someone will find a YouTube link that will remind him he hates Republicans, and remind Republicans they hate him, and send him back to doing environmental shit instead of curating disease outbreaks.
In the course of that, I came across an interview between Mr. Jr. and now-Senator, then-Mayor Young John Fetterman, and I was astounded at how different both men became.
For example, Mr. Fetterman recently praised Mr. Trump’s genocidal and disastrous Iran war: “President Trump has been willing to do what’s right and necessary to produce real peace in the region,”
Blech.
“How should it cost? Free?” New York Magazine quotes Mr. Fetterman texting a staffer about healthcare prices. “I don’t understand what affordability it is. [sic]”

Stimulus For Green Economy Needed Pt. 2 - The Ring Of Fire (ft. Young John Fetterman)
Stimulus For Green Economy Needed Pt. 3 - The Ring Of Fire (ft. Young John Fetterman)
I truly do not know what to make of what Mr. Fetterman has become. He is objectively different than the politician he was before. I have to believe him when he claims he will not switch parties, because God help us if he does, but it is hard to have much confidence in someone wearing so egregiously a new face.
“My values have not changed, and I have always turned to those kinds of ideals that defined being a Democrat. I remain strongly pro-choice, pro-weed, pro-LGBT, pro-SNAP, pro-labor and even pro-rib-eye over bio slop,” Mr. Fetterman wrote, and to be sure, those are certainly good positions for a senator to hold. Perhaps he should, even temporarily, make an effort to show that side of himself again.
